Why Tae Kwon-Do?
Most new students are interested in getting fit and toning the body but find ordinary exercise classes boring or repetitive! Taekwondo will give you the opportunity to improve your fitness in a more interesting way with the added bonus of learning to defend yourself and learning a new and valuable skill. Taekwondo will also build your confidence and self esteem.

What is Taekwondo?
Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art, which will teach you how to use punches, kicks, blocks, dodges and restraints to defend yourself. Most of all Tae Kwon Do is about self-imposed discipline, fitness and inner peace. The sport is loved by children and adults alike, as it builds a level of confidence unsurpassed by any other form of exercise.

The TAGB system of training is based on inner development and self-expression, concentration, focus, goal setting and self-achievement. Co-ordination, flexibility and self-awareness are the basics to the physical training and you'll learn to stretch and exercise nearly every muscle group in your body. That aspect alone distinguishes the sport from most others. But it’s the emphasis on improved concentration, stamina and self-control that really sets Tae Kwon Do apart from other disciplines. To develop those skills, you'll exercise your mind at least as much as your body. And the positive effects of that exercise will carry over into other areas of your life too!

Children benefit massively from learning Tae Kwon Do. Martial Arts training are arguably the best method of instilling confidence into children and at the same time emphasises the importance of respect and discipline. As a result of the fast and exciting nature of Martial Arts there are thousands of children participating throughout the UK and worldwide there are millions. Isn’t it time your child joined them?
